Min Yoon-gi is one of the three rappers of BTS, the world’s biggest boy band from South Korea.
If you’re not familiar with his birth name, you may know him for his names: Suga and Agust D. You may also know him as: Min Genius and Lil meow meow, nicknames his fans have created for him.
Throughout the eight years of the group’s career, ARMY have been given the chance to learn what seems to be everything about each member. Today, we’re going to reveal to you something you may not know about Suga. This includes: if he has a girlfriend, his past dating rumours, if he has a wife, and his ideal type for any curious fans.

Suga Girlfriend and Dating Rumors
So, does Suga have a girlfriend or is he currently single?
BTS have many fans all around the world and many would love to be the significant other for the members, this leads to many individuals trying to find the latest scoop on their current relationship status. However, this has never led to an official answer. In fact, dispatch in South Korea decided to give up on following the BTS members as they mostly spend time together.
During interviews, BTS often get asked about their dating life and the members mostly share that dating is currently impossible due to their hectic schedules and therefore would rather just focus on their music. Therefore, it’s safe to say that Suga is currently single.
K-pop idols are often seen as ‘perfection’ and when they interact with one another, fans can’t help but wonder if there’s something between them other than the same love for music. Sometimes these curiosities become so big that evidence begins being gathered to prove that idols really are dating each other, but these rumours always turn out to be fake. Well, most of the time.
Today, we’re going to be taking a look at dating rumours involving Suga. As well as, a past relationship he has opened up about to fans.
1. Suran
South Korean singer, Suran and Suga met in 2017. Although further details haven’t been made public yet about their meeting, it must have been memorable as the two ended up working together for two of Suran’s songs: Wine and So Far Away. Receiving the ‘Hot Trend’ award at the MMA.
Suga is known to often keep to himself and not socialise with others outside the group very often, therefore this collaboration was extremely special for fans. Although, many began to wonder if the idol’s natural-like chemistry was a hint to a possible secret relationship.
The dating rumours began take over the media, which led to Suran coming public to speak on the matter. The singer shared that she has only known the rapper for a year and their relationship is only about music, nothing more and nothing less.
2. Wendy from Red Velvet
BTS and Red Velvet have had numerous interactions at music shows.
One interaction that fans seem to have liked the most was when Suga and Wendy were on stage together, presenting the awards. Fans shared that their chemistry was undeniably adorable and natural, making many wonder if that was due to the idols being close behind the scenes. However, there is not enough evidence to fully support this argument.
3. IU
In 2020, South Korea’s sweetheart IU released an endearing song called ‘Eight’ which touched the hearts of many as the song and music video included many personal moments from her life.
However, people were extremely excited to learn that Suga was not only producing her song but was featuring in it too! When the singer was asked about what it was like to work with BTS’s rapper, she shared that everything went smoothly and she is very thankful.

4. Jihyo from TWICE
Music shows are very special to K-pop fans. Not only because they get to see their favourites perform, but they also get to witness interactions between the idols as well as their reaction when others idols perform. ARMY especially enjoys watching the reaction of BTS and TWICE, when they watch each other’s performances.
After watching Suga’s reaction to TWICE’s performance, fans wondered if the rapper liked them. Specifically, Jihyo. As he seemed to show more-than-usual emotion when her part came up. However, regardless of whether or not this is true it has been confirmed that Jihyo is in fact in a relationship with Kang Daniel.

5. Miji
During BTS’s Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa era, from 2015 to 2016, unexpected photos were leaked that shocked the whole fandom.
The photos showed a beautiful young woman with what appeared to be Suga, suggesting that the two were in a relationship. Whether or not these photos are real, remains as a debate. Some fans say they look too fake to be real, while others argue that Miji and Suga did date and the other members even knew about it as Suga’s alleged girlfriend would often visit him.
6. Suga’s middle school love
If you’re a dedicated fan of BTS, then you’re probably familiar with Suga’s middle school love story as he’s spoken about it in the past.
During his second year of middle school, the rapper fell in love with a fellow classmate. However, he was so shy he was too nervous to share his feelings for her. Until, he could no longer hide his true feelings and confessed to her. The two began dating, but their relationship didn’t last very long. Suga explained that because he was so nervous, he couldn’t get himself to act natural around her. Failing to give her any attention.
This led to the couple going their separate ways, deciding to remain as friends.
While trying to think of a letter topic for school, Suga decided to write about his failed relationship sending it to a local radio show. Where he spoke about his experience and apologised to his ex-girlfriend while also thanking her for the memories.

Now, as we’ve mentioned before there isn’t enough evidence to show that Suga is in a relationship. Therefore, it’s unlikely that he’s married. However, curious fans have been bold enough to propose to the rapper during live broadcasts to which he responded with “bring the paperwork”.
